Military Foot Guards Officer's Bearskin Cap


Period: 1920's

Rare bearskin cap in remarkable condition with provision for a plume on the RHS.

The underside interior with adjustable leather lining and wicker frame, complete the original brass interlinked adjustable chin strap/chain.

Please see images for condition and and marks found on the underside of the lining fingers.

As can be seen the War Department stamp has the number 14 which we believe it stands for 1914 but please come to your own conclusions.

Approximate height to the front 29cm and to the back 40cm.
