Rare wax bust depicting Louise Brongniart (1772-1845) after Jean Antoine Houdon (1741-1828).

Louise was the daughter of Alexander Theodore Brongniart the famous French architect of the 'Bourse' (stock exchange) in Paris.

This bust is set on a small square wooden plinth and is under a glass dome.

There is also an indistinct signature behind.

There is some slight damage to the nose.

Actual bust height 22 cm.
