Origin: England   Period: Late Victorian

In very good condition, this mid to late Victorian rare and unusual campaign table is a combination card and games table as well as a fully fitted campaign writing desk.

Raised on shaped cross supports, the top when opened reveals the original green linen/cloth surface for playing cards etc.

Two brass pressure buttons at either side of the table when pressed releases one half of the sprung top to show a dark green fitted interior with compartments for cards etc.

The other half of the table opens by pressing another two brass buttons; this side is fully fitted as a desk with the original inkwell, nib box, blotting paper, pen holder and paper wallets.

There is a small maker's plaque but it is now illegible.

Wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
