A Victorian Amboyna Inlaid Canterbury

A very attractive and most useful ebonised mid Victorian Canterbury with Amboyna inlay and gilt detailing.

This very  decorative antique stand has finely turned spindles creating three divisions for, originally music sheet music, but certainly also for newspapers, portfolios, magazine, envelopes and books.

A mahogany lined drawer underneath completes this very useful piece which is also movable so that it can be easly dotted around the room.  

The turned legs have the original brass and ceramic castors.

Condition: Very good original condition. Slight shrinkage split to inside drawer bottom.
