A very attractive 19th century brass bound coromandel writing slope.

Inside features a gilt tooled dark leather writing surface, a pen tray, and one glass and brass inkwell.

Lifting the front of the writing surface reveals a storage area and crossed ribbon backing on the surface. The rear of the writing surface can be lifted to reveal further storage space. The rear of this compartment features a spring loaded compartment panel opening to reveal two secret drawers.
