Early 18th Century Oak Panelled Coffer

Origin: England   Period: Late 17th /early 18th Century

A late 17th /early 18th Century panelled oak country coffer with a great colour and beautiful mellow patina.

Quite unusual features are: the the top that can stay wide open without the need of any support and the very useful space/gap of 26 cm just under the bottom of the coffer itself.

There are few age related splits to panels on top and the lock has been replaced at some point in the past.
