Jacob Jacobsen Design Anglepoise Lamp 1950’s
A lamp classic from the late 50’s /60’s by Norwegian Engineer Jacob Jacobsen (Oslo 1901 – 1996). This lamp was US patented, we believe, in between 1954-1957 and sold by “1001 Lamps Bromley Road, London SE6”, as can be read on the original label on the lower support arm.
The original cream paint shows light wear and the lampshade is in excellent condition with no dings or dents.
The lamp has been look after very well indeed and works and adjusts to all the usual positions perfectly. More importantly, it comes complete with two separate mounting brackets: one is the movable wall mounting clamp and the other curved bracket is for fixing more permanently to a desk or such like. With both clamps you now have three lamps in one.
