A late Victorian/ Edwardian cabinet of curiosities' specimen of a polished Nautilus shell.

Highly polished Tiger Nautilus shells held a special place in a ‘Wunderkammer’ by collectors and are still fascinating to see.

This shell is in very good condition with no cracks or chips.

The old glue has been removed and the shell has been remounted to make it more stable and secure.

The maximum measurement diagonally across the shell is 17.5cm and the maximum width is 8.5cm.
