Antique Silver and Leather Bound Hip Flask

Origin: England, Sheffield   Period: 1912

A substantial solid silver hip flask with hallmarks for Sheffield 1912.

This George V period flask has a leather bound top half with viewing window on either side and a removable solid silver and gilt lined cup or beaker below.

The hinged button cap is of a bayonet type fitting with a cork inner.

It is a very enjoyable object which, because of its delightful size and perfect condition, is still very usable today.

Both the cap and the cup are very clearly hallmarked and not rubbed.
