A charming and highly characterful 19th-century antique country settle bench, boasting exceptionally rare and desirable compact proportions. Constructed from pine and elm, this rustic bench features an attractive scalloped crest rail along the top backrest and shaped sides.

What makes this particular settle exceptional is its uniquely slim, space-saving depth of just 29 cm and compact 102 cm width. Dimensions that make it the absolute ideal choice for a cottage hallway, cottage porch, or boot room where space is at a premium.

The low-profile seat height of 32 cm makes it highly practical and comfortable as a perch for sitting down to remove shoes or boots. The wood boasts a rich, warm patina with a wonderful natural grain pattern, showing decades of authentic age, historic wear, and empty knot detailing that adds immense country house appeal.
