A rare Mahogany campaign chest that an officer or gentleman would have used whilst travelling.
The hinged lid encloses an adjustable sliding mirror and various fitted lift out trays, boxes and compartments.
A leather lined lifting writing slope slides out from underneath.
Dummy fronted drawers pull out and include a washing bowl, drawer with a lift out tin liner and drop down legs and decanter drawer etc. all with original brass handles.
The whole standing on square tapering legs and brass caps with castors.
Original carrying handles are fitted to the sides.

This piece was almost certainly part of the furniture and baggage travelling with a British officer during the campaigns against Napoleon.
