A superb William IV / Early Victorian Mahogany Bookcase

Origin: England   Period: 19th Century

A very imposing mahogany library bookcase / display cabinet with molded cornice above carved corbels and two arched glazed doors (please note the detail of the arched glass also on the internal side of the door). Interior with three adjustable shelves.

The lower section has one long drawer above a pair of cupboard doors with beautiful figured mahogany panels flanked either side  by richly carved pilasters.

Classic plinth base.

Circa 1835.

Minor losses where the lower doors meet; however this does not detract from the appearance of the piece.
