A very charming set of five rosewood Gillows (not stamped) design chairs.

The superb quality of this group of chairs, which can be seen also as a set of four plus one, is shown in every detail.

The front legs are finely turned and reeded, while the sabre legs to the back add even more grace to the profile of this type of chair.

The shaped back is enhanced by a carved double line and has a pierced lyre type splat above a likewise beautiful and sharply carved middle rail.

The slip seat is in good condition but easy to re-upholster to add a personal touch to the look of the chairs.

There is an old repair to one chair.
