A Pair of French Louis XV style Marquetry Bedside Cabinets

Origin: French   Period: 1910 - 1920

An elegant pair of inlaid and parquetry bedside cabinets beautifully inlaid with a chequer board pattern to the sides and to the door front.

One cupboard has a panelled drop-down leaf door; the other cupboard has a pull-up sliding door, again, with a quatrefoil panel front.

Both cupboard have useful pull out candle slides at the sides and the marble tops are enclosed by a shaped gallery.

The cabinets all stand on slender cabriole legs.

These wonderful useful pair of cabinets are in very good condition with wear and tear commensurate with age (the marble tops have had minor repairs in the past).
