A very good and original early Victorian Mahogany games table.
A rare and unusual feature of this card table is that the rear legs slide out revealing a secret space hidden underneath the table for keeping papers, letters etc.
The top then folds open and rests on the top of the legs, giving a very generous surface area.
The baize lined surface appears to be original as well.
There are some historical marks to the baize.
This games table was also designed as a stand alone piece, being identically finished all the way around.
Four ring turned slightly tapering legs finish this quite elegant table.
Wear and tear commensurate with age.
